Rupyam's Advisor can speak with you by phone, as an AI and as named humans. This page states exactly what each kind of call requires from you first, what is recorded and when, and what we owe you if we break the rule.
No Rupyam voice call — AI or human — happens without a live, unexpired grant from you for that kind of call. There is no number we are allowed to dial on a hunch.
An AI voice call from Rupyam identifies itself as AI at the start of the call, as TRAI's telecom commercial-communication rules require and as honesty requires anyway. You can ask for a human at any point in an AI call; the AI's job is to schedule that, not to talk you out of it.
Each grant states its purpose in one sentence, carries a frequency cap and an expiry date (30 days unless you set otherwise), and can be revoked at any time — including logged out. Revocation takes effect immediately.
| Grant | What it permits | Default |
|---|---|---|
| AI voice calls | The AI Advisor may call you about the purpose stated on the grant | Off |
| Human advisor calls | A named human advisor may call you about the stated purpose | Off |
| Call recording | The call may be recorded for quality and dispute resolution. Declining recording never blocks the call. | Off |
Calls land inside the time windows you set. Default quiet hours are 20:00 to 10:00 IST — outside your windows the call simply does not happen, and a granted call that cannot land in a window waits. If you connect your calendar, we read busy or free only, and never dial into a busy block.
A voice call can also reach you inside WhatsApp. The same three grants govern it: no grant, no call, on WhatsApp or anywhere else. WhatsApp additionally keeps its own call permission, which you control from inside the chat — we check both before dialling, and either one saying no means no call.
Until our WhatsApp sender carries the Rupyam name, every message we send identifies itself as Rupyam in its first line, and an AI call says it is Rupyam and says it is AI before anything else.
Every Rupyam call comes from one published number, shown in the app with a downloadable contact card. A finance call from any other number is not us. If we ever call you outside a live grant, report it in one tap: we pay you ₹501, apologise in writing, and log the breach on the public ledger at rupyam.com/permissions. That is a contractual commitment, not a slogan.
A recording exists only if you granted the recording tick for that call. Recordings are stored in India, retained for 2 years, PII-redacted in transcript form after that, and never used to train models that serve anyone but you without a separate, explicit consent. You can request a copy or deletion at /account/data.
