Refunds & Cancellation

1. Cancelling a subscription

Cancel any time from the app, in two taps, no call required. Cancellation stops the next charge; your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, and nothing renews after that. Cancelling also cancels the UPI Autopay or card e-mandate with your bank.

2. Monthly plan refunds

Monthly fees (₹499 and ₹999 plans) are charged for the month ahead. If a renewal charge lands after you cancelled, or lands twice, we refund it in full — write to us with the transaction reference and the refund is initiated within 48 hours.

A month you used is not refunded pro-rata: the price is low precisely because the arithmetic is simple. If we failed you inside a month — the service was down, a paid check did not run — say so through the grievance process and we make it right, with a refund where a refund is the right answer.

3. The ₹299 one-time check

If your document could not be processed and we could not complete the check, the ₹299 is refunded in full, without being asked twice. If the check completed, the fee is earned. If you join a paid plan within 30 days of a completed one-time check, the ₹299 credits toward your membership.

4. How refunds are paid

Refunds go back to the payment method that paid, through our payment gateway, within 5 to 7 working days of approval. We do not refund to a different account, wallet or UPI handle than the one that paid — that rule protects you.

5. Pre-debit notice

Before every recurring charge you receive the pre-debit notification your mandate framework requires, naming the amount and date. If you cancel before the debit executes, the charge does not happen.

Refund requests and billing questions go to support@rupyam.com. Unresolved ones become grievances under the grievance process: acknowledged in 48 hours, resolved in 30 days.
